Fall Favorite

Oh maple leaf, I love you!
Maple Leaves are one of the most widely recognized and abundant leaves around the world. The wonderful little maple tree has stolen are hearts with it's beauty....oh and is sugary, sugary goodness. From the Japanese custom of viewing the changing leaf colors called Momijigari, Canada choosing it for their national symbol in 1965, and of course those wonderful candies you find in Vermont.
With all of it's history I thought that it was the perfect leaf to add to my fall collection! They come in 14k goldfill and sterling silver.

Enjoy!

Portland Loves: local

Two lovely lady's from Portland have created a beautiful blog about the local life here, and much much more. Misha Ashton (Misha Ashton Photography) and Amy Olsen (Amy Olsen Jewelry) have taken their love for all things crafty, creative, and Portland and run with it. Their attention to detail really shines through, and I am very much so looking forward to what they have to say in the future!

Spring Chicken

HOLY CRAP of cuteness!!!! these little guys have to be the most adorable things I have ever seen.

I found them on etsy searching chickens. I'm not to sure why I was searching for chicken items at 2am. But one can never really be sure of anything at that time. Anywho, I found these little guys and fell in love with them.

For a while now I have been thinking about getting chickens (the real, living kind) to go with our new garden abilities. They don't smell to great, and take a little work, but it would be so nice to have fresh eggs...and less bugs in the garden.
We shall see....

Pictures in the shade

Hello all! I know, I know, I can't stop talking about summer. But I just have to (if you happen to live in portland, you know why) So now that the sun is a-shinning all of us etsyers can head out and get some natural light for pictures. Which is exactly what I did this week, here are some of the results!

New Summer Collection

So you might have noticed that it is summer time, and hopefully getting brighter and warmer everyday. Keeping with that idea I thought I would do something a little more colorful.

I have been wanting to play around with all of my vintage finds for a while now, so this summer i am doing a whole new line of fun vintage or vintage inspired jewelry!!!!

Here a few photos of the new stuff. I have some listed in my etsy shop now, and there will be much much more to come in the next couple of weeks.

grey scale

So I have decided to take on the task of taking new photographs for all of my leaf jewelry....it's turning out to be a pretty big task, but very fun non the less. Here a the 1st few photos, they were actually taken in color, but had some purple fringing so we decided to make them black and white. which I think looks really fantastic!

All I want... is my two front teeth...

Sitting here recovering from surgery (which if no one told you...kinda boring) .So I search the internet for all of the items that have been missing from my life because of my disproportionately sized boobies. Years of passing up the cutest bikini or oh so popular tunic shirts...no more!!!!! This is a little list of all the things im lusting after, and will hopefully own soon!

all is well

yay! the surgery went great, I should be out buying summer dresses and cute little lacey bras (you know the ones you can't buy when your anything over a C cup) any day now!!!!!! in the mean time I am home watching breakfast club and other such 80's movies.
I am seriously missing making jewelry though! I can't really move my arms around that much so i have to shelf most of my projects now (tear).

minimizing the assests

so I might be out of commission for a little while, as I am having surgery on tuesday. eeek! Im having a breast reduction surgery, which I am equal parts excited and nervous about. Im so excited about all of the new clothing options, actually I have a bunch of items in my favorites on etsy that I want to get afterwards! a bit nervous about, umm... having surgery. If anyone has been through the experience, it would be fun to hear! see you all on the other side!

Here Comes the Sun

So I don't know about you...but the sun is out today and I am sooo Happy! That doesn't happen to often here in portland, let alone get up to 80 degrees!
These dresses are all so lovely! and summer-y (add that to the dictionary). All found on etsy from my favorite sellers. I want them all! Especially the 1st one, which is actually made by another portland designer (just discovered that). I think I will head out to the porch and soak up the last little bit of sun... and maybe a mojito..

Into The Woods

Deep deep in the woods... actually just in my office! We put up a little woodland theme set. I love the moss carpet! These pics feature my silver leaf necklaces in Aspen and Pacific Willow.
Yay! its my 1st posting on my 1st blog!!! I think im equally excited and nervous to enter the blog world!
So a little about me and what I do-
I am a Jewelry Designer (i know, arn't we all). I live in Portland, OR, which I find to be pretty awesome. Well except for the rain sometimes. As far as my jewelry goes I am self taught, as I have been making it sense I gained motor functions. Currently I am working on a line of leaf earrings and necklaces wire wrapped from sterling silver and 14k gold wire.
I love all of the nature that I live around, and it inspires my jewelry eveyday!
